A list of conventions for music videos.

Conventions are something you would always see or someting you would always expect to see within music videos for example

For pop you would expect to see some birght coulors and dance routines with casual clothes or something with women you would excpect to see short dresses with alot of there body hanging out. The music video would be based around the signer doing some sort of performance or telling a story. Within pop music videos the audience would expect to see voyeuristic images for men to stare at women whilst they perform.

With rock you would expect to see alot of the band and their equipment and playing around a crowd or a practice area.. Also with rock videos you also expect to see live performances whilst they play. This is an easy way of creating a music video. With rock videos the video always focuses on the lead signer. For rock music the audience have come to expect to see alot of lip synching from the performer/s. A good example of this would be Underdog by You Me At Six.
