Monday 19th September - Sunday 25th September

In this week it was our first time we went out filming. What we did first was we filmed our lead signer, lip syncing to some of the verses of the song. When we did this we just filmed close up shots of the lead-signer. We also did the same for but saying 'I love you' we did this because one of the lines of lyrics in the song goes by saying 'three whole words, eight letters late', so we may use this shot to fade in when the lyrics are being played.

This week we also went and set up the design for the garage. This toke around three hours to do. what was involved was setting out the stage for the band and also getting the equipment we are using into the correct places. We also put up the lights above the stage, we did this so the lights shined down on the band so they stand out. We also set up other lights around the whole scene to create the emotional scene.

Below shows the story boards that we created. This was done so that we can follow them when we create our music video and know what shot we have to do in order to complete the video.

Annotation of lyrics

Here is the lyrics to our song 'Fireworks' by you me at six. What we did with these was annotate them to give us ideas and meaning from the words to help us with producing our music video.

Construction of mise en scene

For the construction on mise en scene in our group we had general conversation about what we were going to do. we choose to do this because its another way of getting points across and it more open to everyone.

Representation of people /groups in our video.

In our music video we will be challenge the stereotype of men cheating on women by having the women cheat on the man. This will show that men are not always the bad ones in relationships. This will give us a chance to use different shot to show the vulnerability of the male and the evil side to the women.

Also in our music video will be using the common sterotype of gothic rock bands with the long hair and the baggy and skinny clothes. This will go with the song and add to the effects and gives us some better shots in the video.

Locations list.

The locations we are going to use will allow to get around easily and make it accessible for us to film what we need to film, the locations below show that our group are planning to go and travel in a number of different places. This means that being in different scenery's we will get many types of shot all in different ways. The locations are:

A class room- In the class room what we plan to do is have shots of our lead signer lip syncing to the song on a plan white background, with that we can then go on to edit the shot a put special effects on the shot when using final cut express.

A garage at the back of a house of a friends - The garage will be used for the band playing, we aim to decorate the garage to make the scene look as if it was to be the band practice area.

Brookfeild Park- Brookfeild Park will be used for some shots of our lead signer, signing as he walks through the park. We are also going to use the scene for where the couple argue and fall out.

Camden Town - In Camden we are going to again get alot of shot of our main signer performing but also we will get shots of joy with him and his girlfriend and the also his girlfriend with another man. We will edited the shots to make the quick cut shots to create a mysterious effect and twist within the video.

Jazmine Sines's house - Jazmines house will be used for shots of the lead signer and his girlfriend together in bed and for the lead signer to sign the song whilst she lays there asleep.

London Victoria Station - The station will be used for shot of the lead signer on his own looking on at couples go by and why he has no one. We will use final cut express to link these clips in with other clips of times when he was happy with his girlfriend, we will use the fade in fade out tool to create this effect.

Michael's house - Here we will get shot of the lead signers girlfriend in bed with another man, these shots will fade in and out of the shots from where the lead signer and his girlfriend lay in bed together at Jazmines house.

Shooting schedule

A class room- We aim to do the shots that we wont to do here towards the start of November which mean we would have a few weeks in November to edited them on final cut express.

A garage at the back of a house of a friends - These shots will be done right at the start of september this is because we can get the whole of the band together early and get all the main shot we need of them. We are also doing this first because it is the most time consuming part of our filming.

Brookfield Park- Brookfield park will be one of our last locations to film in so this will be towards the end of November, this is because we aim to do simple quick shot there which we can upload and not take to much time to edit using final cut express.

Camden Town - We aim to be filming at Camden at the start of October this is because we need to go there early enough in the process because if for some reason we have to go back to do shots we will have to arrange with the group and the lead signer a time that is appropriate to go.

Jazmine Sines's house - The filming taking place at Jazmines house will be in the middle of Septemeber. The part of the filming comes after doing the band filming in he garage at the start of the month.

London Victoria Station - We aim to film at London Victoria at the same time at Camden Town which is at the start of October. This is becuase we have to go to London Victoria before getting to Camden so we can do the shots here before going of to Camden Town.

Michael's house - At Michael's house the filming will take place in the middle of September the same as Jazmines house, this is because both locations are close to each other and the main shots we need to take there will take no longer than a day.

The list of people doesnt include alot of people, this is becuase we kept numbers short to make it easier and more accesable to work around for examlpe when we need to film. The list of people:

Louise Ashena - Shooting the video and acting.

Michael Kealy - Shooting the video and acting

Harvey Reynolds - Shooting the video and the second guitarist in the band.

Jazmine Sines - Shooting the video.

Tommy Bowdery- Tommy will be our lead signer. We choose tommy becuase he fits the part and shows of conventions which the audience expect to see. Tommy is also a drama student so is used to performing which also helps.

Jack Wagstaff - Jack will be the drumer in the group, what we aim to do with jack is have him in the back of the shots rocking out whilst performing with band.

Simon Griffiths - Simon will be the lead guitarist, simon is a rock person and has the look about him which will fit in with band and the song and make it seem belivable that he is a guitarist.

List of props.

The list of props is for us to know what we need when filming for the set and the actors and actresses, having a list of what we need will help us be able to check that we have all the props we need when we are out filming.

Clothing - The clothing we will be using will be casual laid back rock clothes, for example the loose t-shirts and the tight jeans and flat trainers(for example Converse) of boots.

Instruments/Microphone, Drums, Guitars -The instruments will be used when the band are performing in the garage. This is because, the instruments are hard to get around places without a big type of transport. So keeping in the one place makes it more accessible to get to when needing to film in that location.

Lighting - For the lighting this will be in the garage. What we plan to do is use fairy lights and put them above and around the band. This will create a glow effect down on the band and also the lights will reflect off the instruments. We are also going to use a disco ball to have the effects of the lights spinning around the band.

Mobile Phone - The mobile Phone will be used as a prop to show the lead signers girlfriend texting another man when the lead signer leaves the room, this will then lead into a shot of him seeing this and arguing with his girlfriend.

Bed/Duvet, Pillow -The bed scene shots will show the lead signers girlfriend cheating and also a place where the lead signer will lay and sign the song and looks round in despair of his girlfriend knowing she has cheated.

Sofa - The sofa will be used where we see the lead signers girlfriend texting someone else, there will be another sofa where the lead signer throws the mobile phone, in the shit we aim not to see the sofa juts for it to out the way where the mobile phone can go without causing any damage.
